Description
The Dark Guyver Mod
=====================
Based on the popular Japanese Anime series and feature films, the Guyver is an ancient bio-weapon created by aliens centuries ago. The Guyver unit bonds to a sentient host, and can then be summoned as protective armor.
The Guyver has several unique abilities at it's disposal such as:
The spikes on the forearms can grow into sharp blades that vibrate at a high frequency, allowing them to cut through most substances with ease.
The chest armor conceals twin particle cannons, capable of immense destruction.
(Sorry to the Anime fans; can't make it blow up Balmora)
Some of you may recognize the armor right away even if you've never heard of the Anime before. It was the statue in the "Heaven's Lookout" mod by Andy! (available on this site) with the sword stuck through it's chest.
Andy! built the Guyver statue in all the right pieces to make it a wearable suit of armor! I simply took it apart with Nifskope and realigned the parts to fit.
Anime Chaos provided the female torso, as well as the 1st and 3rd person hands.
Sleeping Guyver huh? A modder's Easter Egg perhaps?
Finding a Guyver:
If you're out searching some Dwemer Ruins, you just may encounter a couple of people wearing these mysterious Guyver units. If you talk to them, you'll discover they each have an extra Guyver unit they'd be willing to trade.
The conversation with the two Guyvers is done without the use of the regular dialog menu. Instead, it is displayed through message boxes during gameplay. Simply click on the NPCs to see what they have to say.
You can choose the regular Guyver III version or you can try the Pink Guyver armor, a custom retexture (for the ladies) by Anime Chaos. Though specifically made for female characters, the Pink suit will work for either gender as will the Dark. Sorry, no beast or moogle compatible versions yet.
Once you've chosen your color and made the trade, you'll have a new power in the Magic Menu. Cast to summon your very own Guyver! It will replace any armor, shield, or weapon you currently have equipped.
The suit boosts some stats and will last for about 3 minutes. The time limit can easily be changed without altering scripts! Instructions are in the Read Me.
While the Guyver is equipped, you'll have access to some of it's unique skills.
1. You can extend and retract the blades by drawing / sheathing your weapon. Works like a regular sword and shield are equipped.
2.You can open the chest to fire the Mega-Smasher! It's limited to one shot. Equip the weapon item "Mega Smasher" in your inventory and the corresponding enchantment in the Magic Menu. Before you cast, draw / sheathe the weapon until the chest opens.
3. Project a protective energy field that will heal you and damage anything standing too close.
4. Use the Guyver's bio-mechanical eyes on the sides of the head to scan the area for enemies and items your eyes might miss.
You can also strike a pose and cross your arms just like the original sleeping Guyver in Heaven's Lookout!

Be sure to talk to the Guyver again AFTER you gain the new power. If you like, they can write some basic instructions for the Guyver in your Journal!
There is also a secondary ESP file, "The Dark Guyver 2" for those who just want to wear the armor without the powers and abilities. The merchant who sells the armor is located inside the Craftsmen's Hall in Mournhold.
I dedicate this mod to the creator of the Sleeping Guyver, Andy! Who never returned my emails asking for permission to use his meshes and textures for this. He never released his full "Rise of the Fallen" mod either. So Andy! wherever you are, you have my thanks for all the excellent mods you shared with us.
